What is your guarantee on live fish?

All freshwater and saltwater fish are backed by a two week (14 day) live fish guarantee.

To qualify, the fish must be returned to the store along with a fresh water sample so our aquatic team can test for tank conditions and help you determine the cause of loss.

Can I return small animals or reptiles?

For the safety and well-being of our animals, we do not accept returns on small animals or reptiles.

This policy protects the pets currently in our care, prevents illness, and ensures responsible handling within the store.

Why do small animals and reptiles have a no return policy?


Reintroducing pets into the store can expose other animals to stress, illness, or environmental changes. This is standard in responsible pet care environments to protect both the animals awaiting adoption and the ones being properly quarantined or boarded.

Can I exchange a product instead of a refund?

Exchanges for dry goods are available within the 30 day window, pending inspection and proof of purchase.

Dry Goods Return Policy (Pet Food, Supplies and Accessories)

You may return most dry goods items within 30 days of purchase with a valid proof of purchase.

Eligible items include:

  • Dry dog and cat food

  • Toys and enrichment
  • Bedding, habitats, tanks, crates, kennels
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Grooming tools
  • Collars, leashes, and accessories

Important: Some items may be subject to testing or inspection before a refund or exchange can be completed. This helps ensure product quality and safety for all pets.

Live Fish Guarantee (14 Day Protection)

We proudly offer a two week guarantee on the health of all live fish. If a health issue or loss occurs within 14 days:

  1. Bring the fish back to our store.
  2. Include a fresh water sample from your home aquarium.

Our aquatic specialists will test the water and help identify what may have caused the issue. Depending on the results, you may receive a replacement fish or store credit.

Small Animals and Reptiles No Returns

For the well-being and safety of the animals in our store, we cannot accept returns on small animals or reptiles. This includes:

  • Guinea pigs
  • Hamsters
  • Rabbits
  • Gerbils
  • Mice and rats
  • Lizards
  • Snakes
  • Turtles and tortoises

This policy helps prevent illness, stress, or contamination among animals currently boarding or awaiting adoption.
